According to the MT Blog [Thanks Chris] CG in the Georgia area are using the Calling channel for Operations. Not sure if they are using P25, but the rules say use Analog for Calling.
I've heard testing and usage on the V-Law frequencies. They're mainly used when a big incident occurs that requires mutual aid from more than one local state or federal agency.
That's what they should be used for, but a recent report on FEDCOM shows USCG in the Georgia[??] area are using the VHF Calling for Operations in the region.
