State Band trafficin NE GA

In the last few days I've noticed a large increase in Traffic on VHF State Band around Dawson, Hall Lumpkin and White counties. It sounds like GHP. This is beyond the normal traffic I have heard in many years of monitoring.

Is there a system or link down somewhere?

I think I saw a previous post somewhere in the Georgia forum, where GSP was using state band (154.905, 154.935) on a temporary basis, while the new P25 system was being installed for those posts. Anybody else confirm?

This is true, G*S*P (Not GHP) has been changing to P25 repeaters, and when the main radios are being upgraded, they are using stateband (154.905/154.935)

I understand they will be coming off of the 800Mhz radio systems they share with some other depts. too.....
