Does anyone know what frequency the state police mobiles have switched to out of the Elkins headquarters? 45.780, 42.26, 45.340 are no longer working. Elkins seems to still be transmitting on 42.06.

Might also want to try 460.025. I sometimes get digital-type noise there, but at least Jefferson County and sometimes Berkley County mobiles transmit on this. It seems that things are in transition because of WVIOP System.

Berkley County Communications also has starting asking "Any State or County Unit to take a call for..... at......? on 42.06. Sounds kinda garbled. Maybe Berkley is simulcasting on their Freq and on 42.06. Jefferson county makes the same call on just their dispatch freq of 154.875. I do know that some or all Jefferson County Units have two separate radios in their cars. They answer on Jefferson on one and their dispatcher (Charles Town) on the other. Jefferson also asks for "any State.........", the same as Berkley. I know this more than your question asked, but in the overall scheme of things, may help you in some way.

I understand what you are saying..they do that here in Pocahontas County as well when dispatching a 911 call.."Any available state or county unit.." on 155.970. I still expect to hear SP units going 10-8/10-7 with Elkins on some freq. though. I have plugged in 42.2 and 42.3 which are both licensed with FCC for WVSP as of 6/5/05. Most of the actual call taking is done on 155.970 or on SP Direct 2 158.910 here.
