I am trying to stream my scanner. For some reason, when I have the USB data connection and the line in jack connected to the PC, the sound is decent, but if I disconnect the data cable, and just connect the line in, terrible static and feedback. Note I am using the audio only setting in scannercast. Any ideas?

Since you are trying to do a feed, I would guess that you have some kind of power supply connected to your Pro-106 so you aren't draining batteries. From my experience with the Pro-106, I think you might be experiencing a ground loop which produces a very loud and very consistent sounding buzz. From my understanding, the USB cable grounds your scanner to your computer and therefore eliminates the buzzing. If you don't want to have a USB cable hooked up, you may want to get a ground loop isolator for your line in cable. It may be helpful to search the forums a little to see other solutions people may have.
