Boeing has offered their 4 B747 Dreamlifters for Corona supply flights.
Checking Flightaware they have been busy doing their usual B787 wing delivery flights from NGO Japan to PAE and Charleston aircraft plant.
Added them to my mode s alert station in case they come around here sometime. Atlas Air operates them under contract with Boeing
usually with GTI-4236 etc type flight numbers.
Their huge cargo holds are non-pressurized so guess have to be careful what to load on them.

I've noticed Kalitta 747s more active through our area recently. Earlier there was one from LAX to SWF. One has been doing flights between Dulles and Portugal (CKS9395) with some other US stops, always catches my attention on its way out.

1620 local I see the USNS Comfort on marine traffic web page making Southeast from Mouth of Ches Bay
just North of Virginia Beach. Assume will turn North when it gets farther out.. Slow mover at 7 knots so far.
Was hoping against hope that it would use the Ches Bay via C+D Canal near here but no chance.
Expected in New York Monday.
1628 local... USNS Comfort says dest Norfolk on pop-up position.. Slowed to 5 knots and seems to be turning around.
Maybe software is screwy.
1635 Now showing Westbound so maybe had problems... Maybe rushed it out too quickly.
1650 Now showing Northbound, like it did almost a 360 turn.

Ron www.marinetraffic.com but CG boats don't show for obvious reasons but some Navy types show
once in a while labeled as only USS SHIP.
That newly christened Hershel Williams Navy cargo transport ship on sea trails showed off Norfolk.
Zoom map to your area of interest then bookmark it or you can bookmark multiple places this way.
I added a second bookmark today for that Norfolk area.

For those of you that are interested, this is my log from last Wednesday, when the German Eurofighters
departed from Bangor under Coronet East 022.

They departed as RETRO 31 (3-ship) and RETRO 41 (3-ship ?) to ETNN with supporting tankers BLUE 47
(61-0293 cleared back to Bangor) and BLUE 48 (60-0366) and BLUE 49 (58-0072) both cleared to EGUN.
After departure on 118.925 they switched to Boston Center 120.250 and later Moncton center on 124.300.
While taxing, BLUE 48 asked BLUE 47 to come up on tanker common, but the frequency wasn't given ...

Actually USCG units do show (but when on certain missions they encrypt the AIS signal. Here is what is at the Cape May Training Center right now that is tracking.

Hoping it comes close enough to the shoreline on the way north to track better. Position is a bit old (without spending money)

Update - I spent 0.99 cents and found it is now at 38.77157 N 73.9821 W Speed 8.7 Kts headed 27 degrees

That position is 48 NM SE of my location at a bearing of 104 degrees.

A little too far east for me to "see" it direct on my screen,

Terry

0918- Hearing some weak chat on 268.025 (tanker A-A). At 0920 they QSY to ZNY Modena (135.45) & check in as Team 11 flt (2 X KC-10s). Chat on 268.025 indicates they are doing some mutual AAR training. Not showing on ADS-B.
