I am hearing continued radio traffic with StL FD on a second alarm warehouse fire that just won't go out. One on scene chief wanted the units on scene, after many hours trying to put the fire out, to switch to BVR-SD. Or something that sounds like it. But the crews are having trouble with that channel so they are remaining on Bravo.

Any idea what that channel is? I am thinking it might be a simplex type channel, lower power without using the trunked repeater. I've been wrong before.

DVRS installed in chief vehicle. They were probably saying DVRS-D

So the repeater system was for command D and the chief asked the crews to switch from command B to D? Would the field radio have a different channel DVRS-D or just the regular command D channel?

I am thinking it may have been a direct simplex type channel. They have set up on their radios where a fire, or situation would be in a sub basement of a building. I have heard them use that one time for the US Postal service downtown.
