I found the stream where they're talking to the girl who stole the sheriff department SUV that is currently being talked about and shown LIVE on CNN HEADLINE NEWS at this time.. I actually could hear the girl talking to the dispatch on the stream...

she's real scared, you can hear it in her voice, and the police are just trying to keep her calm and explain to her that the public has no idea what she's doing. they're trying to get her to go to a park somewhere.

they just pulled her out of the car and got her in custody. I can see the shoutcast server has a delay because things on the tv are happening after anything anyone has talked. About a 60 second delay from the actual event.

now units are talking about not being able to find the AR-15. its not in it's secured rack as they talked about on CNN. The shotgun was in its secured rack. They're looking for the AR-15 now.

Like there is not enough AR-15's in the desert. Now was it really in the unit? How could you belive the guy if he got his unit stolen? I got my keys right here, I think? Sounds like a lot of ice cream or doughnuts at the AV stations for a while.

Luke it was all over CNN HEADLINE NEWS. Apparently an 18-20 year old female was being arrested and brought in for possible stolen vehicle, and she some how freaked out and broke free and took off in the deputy's SUV. A marked unit for the sheriff's office there in Lancaster California. When I saw the story on tv live as it was unfolding from a helicopter I decided to go find live scanners in the LA COUNTY area, I came across the one I linked and it was the right one. I was listening to live broadcasts of police officials talking to the girl on the radio who stole the patrol unit. It was kind of wild to not only see it unfold on TV clear across the country but to actually hear their radio communications at the same time via a live streaming scanner. It was wild...

Sorry you missed it, the whole ordeal lasted about two hours before she finally stopped and they yanked her out.

it was pretty cool. i love how technology is coming along. it was almost too easy to find a live scanner on their freq and begin listening to it from mississippi. to listen to her crying and screaming and cussing on the radio.

WTF does having his vehicle stolen have to do with the veracity of his statements?

*EDIT* I just saw this wasn't the CA forum, but someone posted Lancaster California. Is it in CA?

Yes it was in California, and I posted it here and in the California forum as well. I posted it here purely so anyone reading the mississippi forum (my home and main focus of interest on the site) would be interested in listening in too. At the time I made all of those posts the incident was still active.
