On Monday at 12:01 AM, the Stoney Creek Drawbridge (Fort Smallwood Rd) in Anne Arundel County will be closed for all vehicular and pedestrian traffic till August 12th.
I suspect the will be a lot of radio traffic due to to its high impact on traffic and emergency response.
There was talk that communities North of the Bridge (Stoney Beach, Orchard Beach, etc.) that are usually covered by the Eastern District Officer (3A1) will be covered by a Northern District Officer.
I have not heard anything concerning the fire department if they will increase staffing, add additional units, etc.
I would expect there to be a lot of activity on the Anne Arundel 800mhz system. MSP might also be involved due to it being a state project.
I would expect activity on the SHA frequencies.
The contractors doing the work is a company named “Astron” from North Carolina. Any idea on what frequencies they might be using?
