strange decodes

some off-the-wall stuff I've logged here lately;
I've gotten some 'special' flights with flight#s like GS0001 or XA01. Most of these seem to be charters out of Teterboro or White Plains. Some of them (L&L Leasing) hide their flight info.
I've gotten several of these with tail numbers ending in QS (N574QS, N656QS). These appear to be Execjet/Netjet flights.
Had a flight GS001 tail# N713SN; flightstats showed no flights for this craft since June 2012!? Talk about flying under the radar.
Flight EV-5060 wasn't listed; finally found listed as ASQ5060, Express Jet.
Had three flights listed as G7**** (G7 2992, G7 6225, G7 6290). Finally identified as Delta (DAL) flights, but the respective tail numbers showed no flights for nearly a year.

wonder if this is just sloppy bookeeping?

G7 is the IATA code for GoJet, a Delta Connector. Nothing exciting about that. GS and XA are used to represent bizjets all the time, again, nothing exciting.

a GS1 flight on 02/15; left RDU headed NE to FRG (Farmingdale NY), got over me in Merryland, turned and ended up at Dulles. I think the weather had something to do with it.

EV is the new IATA code for ASQ. It used to be XE, which is still often used on ACARS.

02/26 1600 local time two charter flights (GS0001); tail numbers N577QS and N576QS. both NE to FLA. Same holding company (Marquis Jet Holdings). quite a coincidence, consecutive tail#s like that.

02/26/14 1302 local time flt# AA388 tail# N939AN (737). text mentioned KBUR KDFW but the flight was LGA-MIA. I researched the tail# and it had been to Dallas but no listing for BUR, ever. don't know if decode or transcribe error.

Not exactly a coincidence. Most bizjets with QS suffixes are owned by Netjets.

snagged a flight# MT-324. Finally crossed to Thomas Cook Airlines, England. ?
Tail# G-CHTZ 03/01/14 1258.

Never heard of them.

also been getting several flights with transatlantic dept/dest codes but actually flying US/Atlantic.
AA388 03/01/14 1234 data read BUR/DFF; online said LGA/MIA
UA 884 03/01/14 1348 data read RJAA/KORD; online said EWR/FLL
AA 172 03/01/14 1518 data read KJFK/EBBR; online said MIA/EWR.
researched by tail#, agreed wi online dept/dest. Old data or decoding issue?

You haven't mentioned how you are receiving or decoding the data, but it sounds like the local database being used by the software is out of date.
