there is no 'free database' there is only 'the database' accessible from the 'Databases' link at the top of the page.

Paid or free, it's all the same.

OK. Now I understand all the confusion.

Hehe, that makes two of us. I was beginning to think - perhaps I lost too many brain cells growing up in LA. For some reason, I wasn't getting it.

Thanks joescanner. Since i've joined this and other message boards, I would post that I thought the free database (cut and paste) was only a sample of talk groups and that one would have to pay for the rest - probably because it says on that page, "Some information here courtesy of the NEW Edition of the Northwest Frequency Directory". No one said anything to me until now.

Lol, If someone bought that book today to rely on, they'd be missing out on A LOT of activity -unless it's updated month..
