Hi I got this in a submission here and becouse I am in Snohomish I can not verify it. please help me out with it, Thanks

Federal Way PD ADMIN - Federal Way PD Car-Car

They haven't changed (that I'm aware of) and probably won't change for a long, long time since they're collectively programmed in thousands of radios.

They're referred to as "Admin" channels. They're pretty much used for unit-to-unit communications and various other administrative communications. Dispatch cannot monitor these talkgroups. Also, each agency only has their own admin talkgroup programmed into their radios. I don't think the dispatch center can patch them either, although somebody's console might be able to.

In addition to primary and tactical talkgroups, police agencies have an administrative talkgroup (commonly referred to as “Admin”) to use for internal communication not involving the dispatcher. These talkgroups cannot be monitored by the dispatcher and are not recordable.

Also, I was wrong: "Other Valley Com police departments may switch to [any primary or TAC of any other VC agency] if necessary."

I can confirm what Atomic Taco is saying. When units are on these groups they refer to them as Admin. This is where their station (Records) can do computer checks as well as general car to car. You will hear "1 Adam 12 can I get 6 Adam on Admin". 6 Adam will say "switching". It is best to describe the group as the agencies refer to them.
