Sumter County Deputy Shot

Got a call from my best friend who said his uncle was shot and in critical condition, hits close to home.. Thoughts and prayers appreciated!

"The Sumter County Sheriff's Office says one of their deputies has been shot along with a suspect after an incident Tuesday morning along a rural highway. The situation happened in an area on Highway 521 and Four Bridges Road between Sumter and Dalzell. Multiple units from the Sumter County Sheriff's Department as well as several other agencies are there."

RIP Cpl. Andrew Gillette. Prayers go out to his family and fellow officers. I've served hundreds of warrants and you have to wear that body armor even though it can be hot and uncomfortable.
