stvnd53...no need for the Walmart comments. Take this as your warning before being banned for a few weeks.
If you are so confident in what will happen, please provide details and let us know where you are getting your information from. I have contacts in the Prosecutors Office and they are telling me a different story than what you are posting.
And as far as dispatchers not knowing the area at the county level vs. the local town level...well, I worked dispatch many years in the town I lived in and yes, I knew the area very well. I was also a volunteer in the fire department and ambulance corps so that helped as well.
However, I did dispatch at the county 911 center and although I didn't "know the area" as well as a local, that map on my CAD told me alot. I think the problem is when you try to teach old timers that instead of saying "Vehicle stop, hightway 1 in front of the old smith barn" they should say "highway 1, nearest cross street of smith lane."
This also helps neighboring departments who may have to respond to them in a emergency find them quicker. Even better is AVL, but thats another topic.
