NYPD Transit Division can be heard on their new UHF freqs. Right now only Man, Bk, and Queens dispatchers can be heard on these former division freqs used by surface patrols. Previously there were two of these freqs per Boro [except the Bronx which only had one]. The transit Division has four patrol areas so to make tne NYPD a "One Radio" system the switch is on

I listened today and still heard activity on 160.905. Are they simulcasting VHF and UHF like they did with division radios years ago during that transition?

What are the exact UHF frequencies you're hearing activity on and what boros are you hearing on each frequency?

0471.0875 Transit Manhattan
0470.9625 Transit Brooklyn
0470.9125 Transit Queens
0482.5625 Transit Bronx
These are the frequencies I have, Staten Island has their own transit PD not part of the NYPD transit bureau. I don’t know what the pl/dpl is.

A dangerous practice...

subway surfer,

Try 470.4375 (141.3) for MTA Staten Island Railway police and operations, under call sign WIJ-241.

All 4 transit boros are simulcasting on UHF. It is still only the dispatch side. The correct frequency for Bronx transit is 482.8625.

are they getting rid of the 160 MHz transit freqs??

Ok, I can confirm hearing all UHF Transit PD simulcast frequencies with the exception of the Bronx from Union County, NJ. <Still hearing the dispatch side only> Now, my question is are they planning on eventually getting rid of all the NYC transit frequencies in the 160 MHz band totally or re-assigning them to a different agency?? If so, who will be using them?
