I believe SWNH District Fire Mutual Aid identifies itself as KCF415. Some one correct me if I am wrong. KCF415 does not have 33.780 listed as a frequency according to the FCC.
All of these licenses are in Chesire county and have 33.780 listed.

KCE579
KCD369
KCE788
KCN857
WPQJ815
WPUX490
WPUX491
WPVP779

I am trying to figure out which transmitter I am listening to in North Carolina. Does SWNH District Fire Mutual Aid (KCF415) use all the transmitters listed simultaneously or can they pick and choose which transmitter they want to use. Is what I hear on 33.780 here in NC just a simulcast of another frequency of actual KCF415 licensed frequencies or a real dispatch channel? If some one knows and could explain how they operate it would be greatly appreciated. I was told that WPQJ815 would be the only one I would hear SWNH District Fire Mutual Aid (KCF415) on.

You got the answer last year when the band was open.

They are now using one of their low band freqs. to get into their high band mountain top radios for simulcasting. I believe they can still pick and choose individual sites if needed though.

33.78 is used by Southwest to access the Simulcast system for 154.430 Simulcast. That's why you'll always hear KCF415 as the identifying dispatcher. At 09:00 and 21:00 they'll do "the Prayers" (most of the time) when they announce all the callsigns and frequencies that actively use.

KCF415 - 154.4300 - Primary Dispatch
KIU830 - 154.3850 - Tac-1 Fireground
KCE579 - 33.78 (Old Dispatch/Simulcast Access) / 33.54 (Old Tri-State)
KDX768 - 155.2650 - Deerfield Valley Ambulance Ops
KTG523 - 155.2200 - Cheshire County EMS Ops (Being phased out)
WQCV921 - 159.4500 - Keene Fire Dispatch (SW Tac-6)
WQKF752 - 155.7150 - Cheshire County EMS Ops (Replacing KTG523)

The dispatcher will refer to themselves by the callsign of the channel they're on

Forgot to add that as Paul said, they can select individual sites and when they do I don't think they use 33.78.

So what your telling me is KCE579 is the only one transmitting the dispatcher on 33.780?
I'm not really interested in KCF415 (154.4300 - Primary Dispatch), KIU830, KDX768, KTG523, WQCV921 and WQKF752 as those frequencies that were listed are not skipping my way.

John, is 33.780 just repeating 154.4300 - Primary Dispatch only?
