I just ran into Sydney Volmet on 11387khz usb as it began at 1700utc and just ended at 1704utc-very short automated report

Wow, that is a great catch considering this is a primary HFDL frequency for ARINC New York.

I caught a quick clip tonight at 0435utc of a weaker copy of Sydney than I had last night. I pan to one of the speakers to give a better shot. You can hear her sign off at :35 saying "Australian Volmet out"

Hi Ridgescan comes in full strength u should also try auckland volmet on 6679khz,8828khz,13282khz
i think there time for memory is every 20minutes & 50minutes past the hour.

" LP " is log periodic, M2 10-30LP8 X3. One pointed at South Pacific, one pointed at Africa, and one pointed over the North Pole. All on 65' of Rohn 45.

Couldn't sleep last night-spinning the dial on the r75 and ran into Australian Volmet on 12365khz usb in the 0800utc hour, this one out of Charleville. A much more "lively" male Brit voice on this one. I caught that one with the "tired" male Brit voice of your logging on the night before you did but on 8828khz usb, just as he signed off and then Honolulu Volmet took its place.

I use volmets often as a test for propagation conditions - made up my own list which I plug in to "RDBM" and just let my WR303 cycle through 119 stations until I hear one talking!

I can insert the list as a text file here if anyone wants it.
