The Type of System in ProScan doesn’t match up with RR when I select what type of system I want to create.

For instance the Mass State Police is listed as “Motorola Type II SmartZone” but that is not an option in ProScan. Which one do I select, Motorola or Moto Turbo?

The Marshfield Municipal is listed as “DMR Motorola Capacity Plus Single Site (TRBO)” and that also is not an option.

What is the difference between P25 Standard Trunk and P25 One Freq Trunk?

You're overthinking this.

For your State Police system, you program it as a Motorola system; the more complete name (in ProScan) would be Motorola Type II. SmartZone is a 'sub-category' of that.

There are several varieties Motorola DMR systems, also known as MotoTRBO. You use the MotoTRBO option in ProScan for programming them. Look at the lower section of this Wiki page, where it lists several of the types.

Your Marshfield system would be programmed as MotoTRBO.

P25 Standard Trunk is used for P25 Phase I or Phase II systems, which are commonly used in many areas. The sites for these system types have multiple frequencies in a site.

A P25 One Freq Trunk would be a single frequency, P25 digital, but uses talkgroups so that one or more 'channels' can share the same frequency.

Look on your screenshot. You also see a choice for a DMR One Freq Trunk system.

If you skim through posts, you may see that abbreviated as an OFT system (one frequency trunked). That is a single frequency, using DMR (Motorola's trademark for DMR is MotoTRBO), and one or more talkgroups sharing the same frequency. In some cases, a town may use one of the types, with one talkgroup assigned for the PD, and another used for FD. One of the hotels here in DFW uses a single frequency, but with separate talkgroups for Housekeeping, Room Service, etc.

If you use the Web import, since you are a Premium Subscriber, ProScan will import & program the system correctly, regardless of what the lengthier system name is.
