One of the interesting things I gleaned about this event, thanks to listening to the scanner, was regarding the truck driver. One of the engine companies dismounted, apparently to look for casualties, but were ordered back. Later as they were spraying the remaining propane tanks to cool them, a call went out for a helicopter to evac a wounded man. He had crawled behind a metal shed and had been there throughout the entire ordeal. This happened an hour or more after the explosion. Ironically, his wife called the authorities inquiring about him at the same time he was found.
