I know a few if not all unit names. IE Mary/Motorcycle, David/Detective and Paul/Swing Shift. Every once in a while I hear OCEAN. Anyone know? Maybe someone has a complete list link? I'm new to scanning, sorry if this is a lame question.

From Intercept
Unit Numbering:
Ruston 1-7 = Ruston PD
Robert = Day shift 2-man car
Frank = Day shift 1-man car
Baker = Swing shift 2-man car
Paul = Swing shift 1-man car
Henry = Graveyard shift 2-man car
Mary = Motorcycle unit
Nora = Graveyard shift 1-man car
Union = Graveyard shift 1-man car
William = School Security Units
X-Ray = Pro-Act Units (Plainclothes/Plain cars)
Lincoln = Lieutenants
Sam = Sergeants
David = Detectives
Ident (or Ida) = Forensics/Crime Scene Units

I'm thinking Ocean is off duty assignment similar to WSP

Good thought and makes sense, thank you. I'm assuming Intercept is the same as www.northwestradio.net? I've just had my pro164 for about 4 months now, so I'm new. I hear its not the best handheld out there. I have a PC cable just not sure what software to use yet.
I enjoy this kinda hobby already so much. Makes me wish I wasn't a cell phone kid.
I listen to TPD, TFD and McChord and Tacoma Narrows tower mostly. Whenever I hear the WSP Cessna flying around I listen in on them. I found its not just for fun either, it comes in handy to know whats up in the neighborhood. I live in the south end of Tacoma, so there is always something weird happening.

win97 is a good program Since you're a premium subscriber here, you could import the database into win97. You can try win97 free for 30 days

I kinda liked PSRedit. But I see Win97 all over and I'd call you guys power users. I'll try it. I'm not a pro by no means, but Scan Cat? seemed lame.

Scancat sucks. I didn't know PSR edit was available for this series of scanners. It looks pretty much the same as Win97, and it's $15 cheaper to boot.

I'm going to purchase Win97. PSREdit worked but when I got more into literature its for a GRE 300 model. I guess the insides are very similar.
Thank you guys for you input and of course if I ever find out what OCEAN means, I'll post.
I'm antenna hunting this week, It sounds like I'll need a little luck, so wish it.

A quick note about the Tacoma unit identifiers- I provided those from first-hand info back in 2000 or so, so they may have changed considerably.

Trust, but verify.
