I have been searching the Maricopa County system trying to find the TG for the county Medical Examiner but so far no luck. While searching I keep getting this popping up, looks like what would be a patch between two talk groups but I've never seen that before. 1108 and 2502 are both in line with other known TG's in the DB for Probation.

That is a talkgroup patch. I believe that 11xx are Adult Probation talkgroups and 25xx talkgroups are "Juvenile Probation". 1108 and 2502 have not been confirmed in the DB. They likely share dispatchers on the weekends and in off hours, thus the patched talkgroups.

There might be other patches active between all of these talkgroups based on what I am seeing in Unitrunker currently:
1101, 1102, 1103, 1104, 1105, 1106, 1107, 1108, 2501, and 2502

It may have changed recently, but the OME uses mostly cellphones to conduct business. It's much cheaper to toss a contaminated cellphone than it is an APX6000.

I used to monitor them on the old system before they went to the new Phase II, but that may be why there is no TG listed and I haven't heard any activity from them.

Among the JPO TGs, should be a few TGs for the juvenile detention units each at Durango and SE. Similar to MCSO detention, the Juvie DO staffers monitor the detainees in quarters, to meal times, to school, to medical, to visitations, to psych and faith meetings, to court hearings, and administrative functions. The dispatch [at Durango] is informal and run out of the Security Control Center and the radio traffic doesn't often sound like jail traffic.

JPOs are usually a Monday through Friday gig at Durango and SE. APOs are run out of the West Court building, an annex at Durango for sex crime probationers, SE offices, and a number of small community based offices throughout the metro area.

The OME may have gone encrypted on the new system.

On the old system, basically all we heard was them acknowledging that they were enroute to a location, which was never given out over the air, then that they were headed back to the office.

It's also possible that they strictly use a computer with simple key presses to indicate their status. Enroute, on scene, returning, AOR, etc.

Or they may have switched to cell phones.

Medical Examiner's Office is encrypted since they talk about personal affairs & what to do with bodies.
