Alan, do you have a .p96 file for southern indiana? I live at 264 and Dixie and my brother lives in Jeffersonville. I will be attending the funeral tomorrow and would like to listen to and from as well just in general.

Anything is appreciated.

Sorry I didn't check early enough. Most traffic I'm hearing in On Mutual Aid. New Albnay is LTR, but Harrison County is VHF and I think Floyd County still has VHF in their cars. I would have to convert from Uniden to P96 but I could still do it.

I heard some stuff on Mutual Aid ISP channel and Harrison County. I was on the Farnsley Road overpass in Lanesville. I was really surprised I was able to hear Louisville Metro stuff and KSP from there as well.

If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I would be in your debt if I can get a copy anyway. I might be able to convert it but need to find the Uniden program first.

Thanks for your assistance.

Ok, I use Uniden so I can give you a copy of that, though I haven't updated Floyd County yet. I have the groups in but not labeled. But I can cut and paste into Win96 which I bought because there were so many files already out there. But what I found is it's better to make your own.

Anyway I'll get that done Monday or Tuesday for you. The two files posted here are also good. I may just edit those and send them back to you, which would be quicker.

As far as hearing Kentucky, you're up on a hill, and it's shaped like a bowl or parabolic antenna so everything bounces back. The hills goes up to 1,000 feet, which is good for those down there, but it blocks my reception.

Ok...700-05 is Brantley Security working at several locations. One of them is Supply Chain Solutions(UPS) as well as 4th Street Live. (edit) Also there have been some other units were Derby units, Fire units and BAT units. I think they are Derby City Ambassadors that "patrol" downtown streets giving out information.(end edit) I listened to the Sierra tg and they never said anything other Sierra status check. One of the units had some subjs painting on a wall of the Vault?? and they ran them off.

I will continue my quest to be as nosy as possible...LOL...

And to add to our misery, I heard more talkgroups.

They are:
600-10 which has something to do with the Airport
1025-1
0110-1
0000-1
0002-1 sometype of transportation
213-01
500-01
208-01
Good luck to us all...
Doug

I was thinking BAT was at the area of Louisville Slugger.
700-05 is Derby Ops, clean up, grounds, trash around 4th Street live and downtown.
Also Supply Chain solutions security=Brantley I believe.
700-06 Not sure, but in the area of 4th Street Live
600-00 is downtown operations, events hosting, right now holding stuff with the Senior Games.

RCS should be easier with Churchill closed for racing.
And Louisville/Jeff system, I'm seeing police cars with 800 MHz antennas only lately. Don't know and haven't wanted to get close enough to check. And will avoid the area until I-64 is repaired.

Louisville cars have at least 2 800 mhz antennas on them now for the data/MDT. I work for an agency that has access to LMPD's system and we have them as well.

You get close...as long as your behind them and not the other way around...LOL...

Have a good one..Doug

I got to close to one the other day, put my scanner away didn't need any other hassles. New Albany has a speed trap set up on Spring St and is raking in the bucks from I-64 being closed.

No mercy! Definitely won't be traveling that area for a long, long, time. Except to enter my my not guilty plea.

Churchill Downs is back to racing today. Time to try and spend some more time monitoring the systems to see if things remain the same, have changed, and if we can catch some new groups or ID some old ones. :)
