Does anyone in the Tallahassee area have any idea what we are hearing on 153.77 with DPL of 174?

This has been going on consistently for a couple years (to my knowledge), but I just got curious enough to ask.

Sounds like a digital channel/stream, but every now and then there are "tones", like fire tone outs and sometime analog voice that seems to be fire related. None of the address references seem relevant to Tallahassee. I once heard a conversation that seemed relevant to Eufaula Alabama.

My first impression is that a repeater input in the Tallahassee area is picking up a repeater output from a distant station and rebroadcasting it on 153.77.

Thoughts?

RFI-EMI-GUY you posted that the FCC database had nothing for 153.77, correct? Florida has 11
license for that freq, Georgia has 26 and Alabama has 14 and these are just the active ones. What did
I do wrong in my search to get these?

I searched a 100 mile radius of points in FL and AL. It could be the archaic FCC database was not working when I did the search. It seems you can get a nothing found when the DB is off line and no warning of such.

Yep, Russell county home of Eufaula has 153.77 a license and Swanee county Florida has a 153.77 license
with a tone of 173.8, is that close enough for DPL od 174? May be hearing multiple sites.

I have recordings of the data on 153.77 DPL 174

it sounds like long transmissions of SCADA data. normally data like that is heard locally on different frequencies between equipment like Lift stations, but only short bursts of a second or so. these transmissions heard are atleast 5 seconds long.

Im in the Tampa bay florida area.
i tried attaching a WAV audio file, but says its not an allowed extention....??? a .WAV, the most basic of audio files?

It could be Zetron model 6/26 FFSK fire station alerting scheme. Remote stations are frequently polled to ensure signal integrity and the upon command, manually, or CAD driven, the system alerts a station and puts dispatch audio into the public address system in the station.

DPL and Tone squelch are very different. tone squelch is a tone, DPL is a digital data signal.
if you find a website that produces tones put in 173.8 Hz and you will need to listen close to your speaker to hear it,

if you were to hear a DPL, it would sound like a soft rhythmic rumbling, no tone sound at all. tho at the end of a transmission using DPL you will hear a terminating tone, which is just there to close the squelch on the RX radios so they dont hear a static crash when the transmitting radio stops TX
