TGH was a customer of mine for several years before I left 2 way radio in Tampa and went into the oilfield in Montana. They (as of July 2011) have several conventional uhf repeaters (each department is responsible for their own repeaters and radios). Also, Aeromed has its own repeater as well as a bunch of conventional (vhf,uhf,800) simplex, a couple trunking control stations, and a couple of tone controlled distant trunking control stations tied into its console. The favcility has a couple of external dual band vhf/uhf ham radio antennas for the hammies. Furthermore, several departments use simplex uhf and/or other departments repeaters as necessary. There is severe adjacent and co-channel interference due to its location (downtown tampa), the pl/dpl tones are necessary to filter them out. We always had really bad problems when we setup our temporary repeaters for both Gasparilla parades. Tried for years to sell them on ltr, but they would have had to replace most of their portables. Someone is going to make a huge mototrbo sale out there one day...................TT.

I know many report hearing them on many freqs, but this is what I've heard them on first hand...
Areomed dispatch: 461.525, also a TG on on the Polk TRS
Bayflite dispatch: Two TG's on the Pinellas TRS
Heli to heli comms : 123.025

Hillsborough TRS has a specific talkgroup for LZ comms
Pinellas TRS uses whatever fire tac channel for the call for LZ's
