Has any one had issues picking up TDMA X2 on the PSR-800 after the upgrade? Prince George's County is very choppy on the radio. Charles County is receiving fine on the unit. I also have the 536HP and PG is working fine on that unit.

I updated mine yesterday and Loudoun County VA sounds good still.

I'm not hearing any difference. If I'm not mistaken, the update did not make any changes to the DSP.

I'm not sure if what I was listening to earlier was tdma or p25 or what, but I definitely had choppy audio with my PSR-800. I updated everything on the radio since I just got the radio today, but I definitely remember the SD database, firmware, and DSP were all upgraded.

Quick update:

I reloaded the CPU firmware to the scanner with a new USB cable and another computer, formatted the micro SD card and reloaded the database and the configuration back on the card.

the TDMA sounds some what better after doing so while driving in the county, but as I am entering Charles county the audio starts getting choppy. I am wondering now if PG county is adjusting the power outputs on the towers.

FWIW - I'm not aware of any X2 systems in the area... PG switched to standard Phase 2 P25 some time ago. Charles is still Motorola Type II Smartnet.

I don't think reloading the firmware with a new USB cable and a different computer would have made any difference. I think you might not be having issues with the scanner specifically. You mentioned driving around so you might be switching towers or you might want to look at a new antenna.
