Speaking of I have a teamspeak question for those knowledable in such.

I downloaded and installed the player on a new computer and can’t get the backgrounds sounds to cease such as new player has arrived, player has left etc.

Followed the instructions in the TS help area;

Turning Off The Female Computer Voice:
Are you tired of hearing "Tina TeamSpeak" barge into your speakers every three seconds, interrupting your favorite feed in the middle of a 2-Alarmer, just to tell you that another listener has joined or left the server...?!?! Thought so. Here's the solution:

1. On the TeamSpeak menu bar, click on "Settings"
2. From the drop down menu, choose "Options"
3. On the next screen, click on the "Sound Notifications" tab to bring it forward
4. Click to put a check in the "Disable all sounds" option box (in about the middle of this tab screen)
5. OK out to close the Settings dialog

But I keep getting a teamspeak error message “list index out of bounds -1” and will not allow me to cease the sound notifications?

Thanks in advance

Hi Jim,

Did you download from the TS website ( www.goteamspeak.com )? If so, make sure you downloaded the one that says " TeamSpeak 2 Client" not the one with the "(Updated Executable)" listed after it.

Otherwise, it's an uninstall and re-install.

Yes I believe I have downloaded and actually reinstalled the correct one twice, still the same error message.

Thanks Jim<

Don't know if it makes a difference or not, but are you registered with the server? It is under "Self>Register with Server."
You can tell when you log in...when your name appears on the list it will have a "U" next to it if you are not registered and a "R" if you are.

Doesn;t matter. I used both a registered user name and an unregistered to check (it's nice having your own server to not bother anyone LOL). My hunch is he has an older version of the client that had the bug and hasn't upgraded.

Is it working now?

Are you using Vista?

I see you posted here with no response.

A haxx might be done by just going to the installation folder of Team speak and just delete the audio files (if there) for those voices. I don't know if that would work though and might have to modify a .ini file too.
