I have a PCR-1000 and someone informed that there is some kind of software that can be download for free to enable it to do "trunking"

Also, be advised, You can screw up the EEPROM on the PCR-1000 if you use third party software. I have used TalkPCR without problems

Also, be advised, You can screw up the EEPROM on the PCR-1000 if you use third party software.

Not all 3rd party software will mess up a PCR-1000...

I am the author of TrunkPCR, PCR Pro and PCR Remote and I can tell you for the past 6 years, my PCR-1000's Eeprom has never been corrupted using my software and no one else has ever reported that theirs have been corrupted. I'm sure that if it did, I would have heard about it by now
