Hello all. I'm not sure if there's a specific place to put this, So I'm going to put it here.

Do I have to notify rr if my feed goes offline for an extended period of time?

The reason I ask, Is because my feed has been offline since yesterday, Due to the adapter on my uniden 396 clunking out on me. My feed should be back up by days end of february 11th.

I just don't want people to think I've abandoned my feed.

Any suggestions?

Thanks a bunch in advance.

Hi

No problem if your feed is offline for 13 days.

It will still be active but show offline.

You may want to consider placing an offline message in your status message field to let listeners know what is going on.

Here is how what we do when feeds go offline:
Feed Notification Settings

Time Down Action
============================================
15 min Email Notification to Feed Owner
6 Hours Email Notification to Feed Owner
24 Hours Email Notification to Feed Owner
7 days Email Notification to Feed Owner
14 days Email notification and feed deactivated.

21 days Feed deleted.

  • NOTE: Feed must be online to receive premium subscriber status

  • NOTE: If prior arrangements are made with the Live Audio Administration staff we can prevent a feed from being deleted if it needs extended downtime.

  • NOTE: Feed Owner will also receive an Email Notification when feed goes back online.
