Hello all!

New to this radio and trying to use the MW (AM) band but the tuning steps are very weird. It doesn't tune in the usual 10khz "steps" but instead tunes by "9"'s which means scanning doesn't work as it will never hit any of the broadcasted channels and I have to direct tune for everything. Is there a way or firmware upgrade to fix this bug?

MW broadcasters in Europe are on 9 kHz spacing while MW broadcasters in North America are on 10 kHz spacing so radios built for both markets are designed to accommodate both spacings. There may be a small slide switch somewhere on the radio or a software switch somewhere in the radio's menus that switches between 9 and 10 kHz spacing.

Indeed there is. Page 5 of the user manual talks about it.

Setting the MW (AM) Frequency Range and Tuning Step

With the device off, set the frequency range of MW (AM) to correspond with
the country in which you are using the radio. Press and hold [ 3 ].

Display indicates “9”: MW frequency steps are set at 9 kHz, and the
frequency range is 522~1620 kHz (suitable for Asia, Europe, Africa,
Oceania).

Display indicates “10”: MW frequency steps are set at 10kHz, and the
frequency range is 520~1710 kHz (suitable for North America and South
America).

Thanks, Found it... The behaviour is not exactly as described in the manual. but it worked! Pressing 3 doesn't only display the step but immediately switches the step too!
