Very Impressed, this a fine radio. It has a bit of a steep learning curve, but it's intuitive and a performer.
I was impressed with the AIR band, but this maybe due to my proximity to the airport.

Shortwave listening was quite good, but there is a lot of empty space, due probably to the reduction in broadcasting.

I haven't had much success in SSB, though I could listen to a signal today, that could be from Georgia (2400 kms) I think I need more practice with SSB.

Just added a PL-660 to my small collection of SW radios for when I travel. My Sony ICF-2010 is just too big to pack and I haven't modified my ATS-909X yet to improve its performance on the whip. This fills the bill nicely.

I realise this is an old thread.

I ordered a PL-660 from AliExpress to replace my aging Sangean ATS-803A but it failed to arrive & I'm currently waiting for a refund.
After waiting two months for delivery I won't be buying from them again.
It's left a bit of a bad taste, so I'm wondering weather to order another elsewhere, or buy something else.
I'd like something that is good on SSB for aircraft & marine.

I ordered mine from https://www.anon-co.com/product/tecsun-pl660-ssb-radio It took about two weeks to ship from Hong Kong to the U.S. east coast. Mine came the same day I was leaving for a Florida vacation. I sat at the airport listening to aircraft while waiting for my flight. It was awesome. I really enjoy my PL-660.
