Tecsun PL-990 External Antenna connection

Just received my new Tecsun 990.

Will this work for an external long wire antenna?

From Tecsun 990 connect 3.5 plug with SMA Female into a PL-259 adapter.

Then connect PL-259 adapter to my ParFedz antenna.

That will work but you will be inserting some signal loss with each adapter. You would have less loss by using a 3.5 to female so239 1or 2 foot cable, then connect the coax from your antenna to the jumper. You will have less loss by utilizing just the jumper/adapter
