Just curious what system is testing on troop h simulcast. Tg 10421 site id BEE00h nac 3a8h. Frequency 852.5125??? Any ideas?

I'm in Canton, and i also heard radio testing today on TG 10421. Would this be for the new Avon system?
Very likely. 104xx will be Avon's TGs.

Thanks Mike. I thought i had read that there would be a new CLMRN site in Avon, but my Uniden SDS 100 showed the test transmissions on site 28, which is Troop H in Hartford.
Two additional sites as part of the Troop H Simulcast "cell", not a standalone system or new Simulcast cell
Avon doing grid/tile testing today very likely as part of acceptance of the 2 sites

Radio id 49001 talk group 10421 so maybe Avon i don’t know and radio id 44001 come up

So it’s definitely Avon and is the fire department planning to go on the system as well or just PD. I don’t recall if there’s another thread about this
What if there was a whole page of information about the network, even with sections about unit IDs and talkgroup ID structure? Somebody should work on that...
The two sites are not very high up and there was no change to the Talcott site so most folks would not notice a difference. If you are Collinsville down to Unionville, you may see improvement, especially down toward Rt 4 & 179. If you are not nearby the sites you should see not change.
It could have been patched to the 8-tac but no idea why. More likely he typed that frequency instead of 852.4125 which is a H Simulcast channel.

just to clarify, site 28 is not (only) in Hartford, it is Troop H simulcast which has several locations, including the new Avon towers
