ISSI has some limitations so it will be interesting to see a project that uses ISSI on a large scale to connect a dozen or more independent P25 systems together.

That’s cool about the ISSI I’m just interested now to see how it plays out when you connect all these systems together..

TIRIS Update, was looking back at some of my unidentified talk groups this morning (am seeing several new ones key up due to the weather that are not normally used...) and found someone doing a radio test on GATRRS TGID 616 with LCRA back on 12/2 and this is the transcript (since i cannot post the audio here):

"This is the City of Austin doing a radio service test call on TIRIS 10...1-2-3-4-5...5-4-3-2-1. LCRA do you copy?"

Page 3 of the TIRIS attachment above from the OP specifically called out some new statewide Talk groups:

Multi-phased Approach
• Phase I – Connect 5 Major Regional Systems plus 3 test sites together
• Multiple Vendors, Multiple system types

• 10+ Statewide Interoperability Talkgroups
• Phase II+ : Additional coverage and system types

So this is probably one of them for the GATRRS side of the house.

If I find more I will post here, I will submit this shortly also to RR.

Did not find any other talkgroups, but twice 616 was referred to as "TIRIS 10" and once as "TIRIS 3". 616 could be a patch TG (although sdrtrunk did not show any patches). Will submit as TIRIS 10 so we can at least start tracking it.

So...we already have 50499-50508 listed as TIRIS 1-10. Talkgroups in the 600 range are city of Austin. Since you've heard it referred to as two different aliases, I would venture to guess that 616 is being patched to the 50499-50508 groups for some reason. Possibly a COA technology group?

That would make sense and explain why I have heard both TIRIS 3 and TIRIS 10 used on 616. sdrtrunk did not show a patch in place but that is not unusual, especially when you start dealing with cross-connects with other systems. I just checked my sound file archive and I only have 2 hits on any TG between 50499-50508, both were mic clicks back on 3/9/2022. Send me a DM with an email if you want rattler and I will forward the mp3 files that I have if you want to take a look/listen for what I do have on 616.

I dont have any previous traffic on 616 for at least a year.

This morning heard NTIRN testing on TIRIS 1. Two radio techs. and an operator identified as DPS 604 also responded.
