Does anyone know what frequencies Texas-New Mexico Power (TNMP) service crews operate on?
They operate in the smaller counties south of Houston area, lots in Brazoria County, and
quite a bit in west Texas.

What type of system do they have? I have never been able to see any radio antennas
on their trucks.

I hve never seen one of their vehicles. The closest repeater to me is FCC Callsign WPPY536 (TEXAS NEW MEXICO POWER COMPANY). I have never heard anything. I don't know if it's because they don't use it or I can't hear it because of the location.

The next closest is Young and Montague Counties. There is a multi site license for 11 locations each with 4 DMR channels at 4 watts mobile only. Probably hand helds.
Click the FRN link for all their licenses, at least for that FRN. They could have more. A lot of them were cancelled.

Yeah I looked at the outage map for an idea of territory, looked at Bosque county and only found two expired or cancelled licenses for UHF and Low Band. They more than likely use cellular PTT or rent airtime from another utility in the area like AEP or Oncor. I’d guess cellular most likely since those systems are relatively quiet for voice as it is.

When I used to maintain sites in Brazoria County years ago I kept the licensed 450 freqs in a dedicated radio and never heard a peep out of them.

Interesting. That is a brand new license (August 2023). There surely must be plans to use it for something.
The FCC has NO LISTING for the FRN 0001681253 even though it is listed on the license.
The license administrator is a company called Lockard and White out of College Station, Texas. That seems strange.

I still cannot find anything for the Houston area. If they ever wanted to, they have a perfect tower for transmitting
on Whitaker Drive in Friendswood because TNMP offices are located right next to the Friendswood Police Department.
