There are some Hytera XPT systems near me. I have monitored them with both my Uniden SDS100 and my Unication G5.

The TGIDs are different on the Uniden SDS-100 than the area on the Unication G5.

TGIDs on the Unication G5 have several more digits than the TGIDs displayed on the Uniden SDS100.

I have only noticed this while monitoring Hytera XPT systems.

Has anybody else here ran across that oR have any additional information on why?

In the profile setting in Sentinel you have a Display Option where you can set if you want TG's to be presented as hex or decimal numbers. Check that you have that set as decimal as those numbers will have more digits and in most P25 systems you refer to TG's as decimal numbers.

Just to clarify, the Unication G5 displays a 7 digit number vs the SDS100 display a 1 or 2 digit TGID number.

Yes, XPT that's DMR, my fault. Another reason can be that one are showing unit ID while the other show TG.
A third reason can be that Unication are not as smart as Uniden and shows the patch ID and not the actual TG that are patched to either another TG or gateway to another function like an analog radio.

The pager is displaying radio ID's, not talkgroups. The 7 digit number you see identifies each individual radio on the system. On your SDS100, you can set up a list that identifies each unit transmitting. Instead of the number, you will see an identifier such as Engine 471, Truck 26, or Medic 7 on your scanner. The same is also true of police car numbers. There are some lists that have been submitted to the Radio Reference Wiki. It is a very time consuming process identifying the unit ID's. You need to monitor the radio or pager and listen for the unit transmitting and make a note of the radio ID number and the Unit name. On your SDS100 display, they are labeled Unit ID and Unit ID Name.

Thank you for the reply.

Is that unique to Unication when monitoring Hytera XPT systems?

Or is that how it would display talkgroups from a Capacity Plus system, too?
