TGs disappearing from call nodes

Afternoon,

I have a question regarding TGs on Systems. I am a regular listener to the Node 2307: Hillsborough County (P25) system and have noticed in the last few weeks that most of the LAW TGs are no longer being captured by the calls platform...I understand that these feeds are provided by volunteers and can come and go at their will. My question is, why would individual TGs disappear? Is this something that the feed provider is choosing not to provide, or is this something the Calls Platform is restricting? I apologize in advance if this has been answered elsewhere...I looked but couldn't find an answer to this question in another thread.

If you look at the database page for Hillsboro County P25 you will see many of the LAW TACs are encrypted. If its encrypted now it wont decode. Not sure exact talkgroup your referring to but may take a look at the database as that could be your problem.

Hi, thanks for your response. I am aware of the encryption issue, and that makes perfect sense, but I am referring to all the TPD TGs and the USF TGs that are showing the clear, along with many on the SO TGs that were available up to like 3 weeks ago...I just didn't know if they disappeared by design

Are you a premium subscriber? If you are not a premium subscriber, I believe certain Service Types aren't available.

If you are a premium subscriber, more (but not all) Service Types are available.

Calls Providers are the only ones that have access to all Service Types, for the systems that they send Calls to.

Yes, I am a premium subscriber....I also thought I read somewhere that premium subscribers are now getting access to all call types.

Ok. Just make sure you are logged into BCFY when you are listening If you get logged out, or haven't logged in, you'll be more limited in what you can listen to.

OK. Also remember the database is volunteer based submissions there could be talkgroups that were clear and are now being moved to encrypted and no one submitted updates. Guess I'd suggest a scanner to see if the TG is truly active or not.
