Pro-164: TGs

I have a good 164 that receives Collin County Fire very well. However, I only want to hear 2 departments ie their TGs. Must I also pgm fire dispatch to hear their tones and pertinent info such as type of incident and location ? OR will the info automatically come thru on the TGs for the specific departments ?
I ask this because programming fire dispatch gets me a lot more departments that I don't want to hear.

In all likelihood, dispatch is needed to heat dispatched calls for a county.

If specific departments operate calls on their own talkgroups, those are likely their fireground or operating channels.

You should be able to answer your own question by just listening to see if they dispatch on those sd prcific department talkgroups.
