I never thought this would happen to me since I ride at night in a sparsely populated area without many cars. Yes, there is a noticeable amount, but it I have 300 Lumens flashing on the back light & 1,000 lumens on the front light. I wear a Camelbak construction crew fluorescent design to alert others.

I am extremely hypervigilant & have been riding around Waco without getting hit by a car since 1998.

Yep, what are the odds of landing on your head while taking blood-thinners are generally instant or shortly thereafter. I should be dead. Luckily, my bicycle helmet is crushed & not my head.

I am getting ready to send this little fella to Uniden. Yes, this is one that was attached via leather belt loop, hard leather case. Currently malfunctioning on radio:
1) volume control, 2) rotary knob knocked off, 3) sustained impact of 40 to 50 feet.

This SDS 100 is tough.

I was more than ready to give up riding my bike after a couple of close calls back about 1972. Some idiot's mirror clipped the left side of my handlebars when he passed me and I wound up being flung into someone's front yard. I was ok, but was very happy to put my bike away for good.

Speaking of idiots, this happened last Saturday morning...

The driver of the red Chevy Trailblazer ran the red(not even close), the Ranger hit them, and then hit a Malibu and then me. I'm pretty sure the woman on the right in the pic below is the Trailblazer's driver and caused the whole thing.

Waiting to hear back from the Trailblazer owner's insurance company to start the repair process. The Trailblazer and Ranger were 2024 models, both were totalled. The Malibu and my car were driveable. The driver of the Ranger, the passenger in the Trailblazer, and both people in the Malibu were taken to the hospital. I was unhurt. The Trailblazer owner is going to get a whopping increase next time her insurance comes due. I got slammed with ambulance chaser calls, and got a packet of stuff, including a copy of the wreck report from the local lawyer who uses Bill Shatner for his ads.

Best $100 I have spent mine records 1080 with Date, Time, Audio, Speed, and G-Force.
I got stopped for speeding I showed the Officer me driving by him with my speed 55 in a 55 he stated it must have been a different car let me go. That along was worth more than the price of the Dash Camera.
