If you're not a Numerologist (one who studies the occult significance of numbers) you might be, after reading this.

Worrisome Ones:
111 W. Burnside - The Portland Rescue Mission. Many EMS runs there.
MAX Light Rail train #111 collided with Portland Eng. 2, and a few years later fatally struck a man at E. Burnside & 102nd Ave.
1111 NE 99th Ave. Medical Bldg. A near fire was caused by a defective electrical outlet manufactured for a company at 1111 __?__ St. in Chicago.
1111 NE 102nd Ave. a large Fred Meyer grocery store that generates many fire and EMS runs.
1111 SW 2nd Ave. is the Portland Police Bureau Central precinct.

Feb. 15, 2008:
1111 SE 122nd. A box dispatched for an apartment fire - nothing found, but companies continued to investigate.
1111 NE 122nd. Callback revealed this is the correct address. Companies finally found a small fire on a deck.

More interesting numbers.
My nearest fire station, where I spend a lot of time, is Station 19, and just a few steps from my apartment is the old Station 19 at 6049 SE Stark St. My apartment number is 757. So what, you may ask? Just add up the numbers, I reply: 7+5+7 = 19. Now add up old station 19's numbers. 6+0+4+9 = NINETEEN ! And strange happenings there suggest the ghost of Fred Rittenour is still there. Fred was a firefighter there and fell to his death from the loft in 1923. The old station is now a coffeee shop and photo studio.

But wait, there's more.
My old number plate was CL (Crater Lake) 7651. 7+6+5+1 = 19. When I had to replace it, of course I got a vanity plate, ENG-19.

And yet more.
My wife was recently in the hospital in Engine 19s district for a couple of days. When the Captain at Station 19 heard about it, he loaded up the crew on Engine 19 and they went to inspect the new section of the hospital. As they neared my wife's room, someone asked the Captain if he was sure of the number. Of course he replied, it simply could not be another number. It's 838. 8+3+8 = NINETEEN !

Oregon ORS # for expired registration, 811.126 ... 8 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 6 = 19!

Just joking Dick. Interesting post. And I made up the ORS #, I did spend a few minutes trying to look it up though!

I can attest to that. I work for an inventory service company and of course we handle the Fred Meyer account. While another office services that store, I did help out when we did that store last year and in that store, there was not one, not two but 3 Fire/EMS calls there that day.
