Please visit http://www.iascanner.com for the latest updates for frequencies in Iowa.

Most of the information for Iowa on this website (RadioReference) was stolen from my website without permission and without credit given by user ericcarlson. I do not appreciate this.

You base this allegation on what evidence? And how did you determine who submitted data to this site?

Before you answer, consider carefully that this site's data is taken entirely from user submissions.

He probably made the assumption that the update log that is in every county, lists who actually submitted the data, even though that merely shows the administrator who processed the submission.

It is based on the fact that the submissions are word for word from my website. I just would like to know why there can't be a place for links or a place for credit to be given to the originating website.

You would be better served by emailing the admins at RR ... webmaster@radioreference.com.

Don't forget to tell the admins that iascanner.com isn't the sole source of the info and that other's have submitted it to iascanner.com. They submitters, haven't received credit.

Also, add examples of this plagerism ... don't burden people looking for evidence for you.

Would this be sort of like the sudden appearance of the additional RACOM sites for South Dakota on your site? And before you come up with any story Eric, let me tell you that I know where the data came from and that you did not have access to the information prior to its inclusion in the RR Database, so the only place you could have gotten them is from RR or someone telling you about it based on the information here.

Eric, the point is if someone submits data to us, unless it is obviously "ripped" from another site, we have no idea how the user got the information. I have looked over several of the data submissions that our administrator (Eric Carlson) updated in Iowa and with the exception of those from the same submitters they all seem to be formatted differently and none, that I can tell, are a copy from your site. So, basically I have wasted a lot of time looking at a non-issue.

I got to thinking, back when I started my site there wasn't another good comprehensive site for Iowa frequencies. Now with RadioReference, I really don't see a need for my site. So I think I will start going through all of my info and start submitting it here. Then we won't have any problems with multiple sites for people to go to each with somewhat different info.

I apologize for the accusations I have made. I hope everything will be forgiven and moved on.

Start watching for updates for Iowa in a little while.

Your website is designed very poorly and hard to find items. The graphics, backgrounds, and colors all clashl.

RR is very well organized and easy to find what you're looking for, Plus, it is up to date unlike your website. The frequencies for my county are no where close to being accurate.

Whereas we (at RR) appreciate the kind words, we don't really want to trash someone else's efforts in our forums. So to stop any further posts of this type, this thread is closed.
