DETECTIVES MAKE ARRESTS IN
HOLWORTHY WAY DOUBLE HOMICIDE
Late in the afternoon of February 5, 2008, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives arrested two suspects they believe are responsible for the murder of two subjects found earlier that morning in a burning pick up truck. The truck was reported burning at 12:26 a.m., in the 7400 block of Holworthy Way. Detectives later determined both victims had suffered gunshot wounds.

As it turns out the two suspects had been detained, along with two additional subjects, by a Sheriff’s Patrol Field Training Officer and his trainee during a vehicle stop at Watt Avenue and A Street. The deputies had detained the four subjects for driving a stolen vehicle at 12:16 a.m.

Following the stolen vehicle stop and the bodies being discovered in the truck, the Sheriff’s Communication Center received an anonymous call, at 12:46 a.m., reporting a homicide which had occurred at a residence in the 3700 block of Bolivar Avenue. According to the caller, the bodies were being transported from the residence in a white pick up truck. Deputies arrived at that residence and discovered evidence leading them to believe a homicide had been committed at the scene. The name of a potential murder suspect was broadcast over the radio. The Training Officer who had stopped the subjects for driving the stolen vehicle at Watt Avenue and A Street recognized the name as one of the subjects he had detained and notified detectives.

Following their interviews, Detectives arrested two of the subjects who had been detained for driving the stolen vehicle. The first suspect is identified as Thomas Meece (34) of Sacramento. He was arrested on two counts of murder, auto theft, and for being a felon in possession of a firearm. The second suspect is identified as Alan Eisman (31) of Sacramento. He was arrested on two counts of murder and for violating his parole. Both subjects booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail. The two other subjects detained for driving in the stolen vehicle were interviewed and released without being charged. Detectives are working closely with Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department Arson Investigators and additional charges may be filed.

Detectives are still attempting to identify a motive for the murders. Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to call detectives at (916) 874-5115, or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
