This Is Strange - HELP PLS

i went to return my scanner today cos i cant listen to OC law cos it is encrypted, but the lady that works there said that i could listen to encrypted OC law cos she has customers that does with the same scanner i got the RS pro-96 and to call the tech support hotline for help.

does that sound right to all you?

She doesn't want to give a refund probably because its someones commission.

Shes totally lying to you or doesn't know what she's talking about. YOU CAN trunktrack the OC system but ALL of law is encrypted. You can listen to the encrypted traffic, but you won't be able to make heads or tails of anything said. So technically, she's right, but she's SCREWING with you. TAKE IT BACK and DEMAND your refund since you cannot use it for what you want!

Oh and if she continues to insist, tell her to program it for you.

that is what i thought and she was the one that sold it to me in the first place and she told me if i wanted a refund to take it back to another store.

If she dosen't give you a refund ask for her DM's phone #. Most likely she will give you the refund before she gives you the phone #.
Also make sure YOU point out the RadioShack 30 day return policy.
