until recently, Thomas County FD would Tone out/dispatch on 154.175. Units would come up and respond on the "Response Channel" 159.705. I am not sure when exactly it started, but it dawned on me the past few days that I no longer hear a dispatch on 154.175, but I still hear 159.705 just like always. Seems like the dispatch is happening on another frequency or system.

Any insight?

Thomas County has changed!

I am just looking at the system today after quite a long time. Everything may be on the new trunked system which has gone digital. It appears that the information for Thomas County is longer accurate here on RR. The system is no longer '4D19' but is not 'BC30'. If you search RR you will see that 'BC30' is the identifier for Albany, GA!!

I am just starting to sort out the new talkgroups. If I locate the Fire TG's, I'll post to the site.

Hey am on TC Fire, We recently changed over from the VHF bands to a new 800mHz system. The Paging channel is still active, we still use VHF pagers, but our response system has changed over to the 800 truck system. They said (the Motorola people) that this new system would be a much better system because it was digital, but seeing how its still not worked out and its been up for almost a month wonder how much better it really is!!
I am working on getting all the new freqs. If someone can get them before i do please let me know, but i am trying my hardest to get hold of them!

I'm thinking that it is this: Scanner Frequencies: Thomasville / Thomas County Trunking System, Thomasville, Georgia
It was rebanded down to 855Mhz frequencies. Hopefully the OP has a trunking scanner. This is an analog system.

Russ,

Thank you for your post...and your service in FD.

If you are aquainted with someone w/ the County or w/ Motorola, could you get a list of
talk groups?
I believe we have folks here that can convert a Motorola talkgroup number into what we program into a scanner.

By the way...whenever I come through Thomasville, I enjoy seeing the town. While you locals are used to it, Thomasville is a beautiful Southern town. Always a treat to see.

Take care....

Thomasville, GA / Week of Aug 27

Drove through this week.

I had the 5 City of Thomasville frequencies in one system. I also added the 5 city frequencies to my existing file of Thomas County.

One time as I got toward the east side of Thomasville, I finally got some signal on the city's P-25.
I saw two TG's display and once I saw a Sys ID on the control channel. Both of these occurred for only a short time. Since I was driving, I was unable to take down the info.

I never heard the traditional control channel noise on any of the county or city frequencies.

If anyone else has success, please post.

Julian and others,

Why are the Thomas and Dougherty county systems "linked" in the database. Ain't no way in %^&* you can have two, non-adjacent counties on a Smartzone.......can you????? I understand VOIP can do miracles but......

I sent a note to the d/b admin a few days ago, in an attempt to correct this.

Hello again from Havana, FL. I reported the changes in the system to the RR Admin. I did tell them that the System had changed from "4D19" to "BC30". All my information is taken from Universal Trunker while listening to their system from about 30 miles away. The system is indeed digital now, but I too doubt that the Dougherty/Albany system is tied to theirs.

I have identified about 42 TG's including Police, Sheriffs, EMS, Fire, Animal Control and several Utilities. Since I cannot verify them all, I did not report them all. I could send a list of what I have or post it in this forum if anyone is interested.

Thanks for your update.....

I have not yet scanned a rebanded TRS.

Does your info submittal have the frequency/channel sequence for trunking?

Thank you for your research and info!!!
