It also seems like they’re still using the Thorold FD frequency 159.150 as a sort of relay for the new system on this frequency. I just heard them responding to a call on both the new system and the old analog frequency. I’m assuming it’s like this so that any firefighters that have the old radios can still listen into what is happening. I’m not sure if Thorold does volunteering or if they’re full time but if they are volunteers then that could be why they have it on the old system as well

As far as I know Thorold Pump 1 is the only fulltime rig in the city. The other trucks in station 1 are volunteer as well as the other stations
