• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

If you have purchased the H3+ from Temu or TIDRADIO directly and you're looking to upgrade the FW. Save yourself a lot of trouble and just update via the USB-C Updater.

If you want the last "release" firmware then download directly from the TIDRADIO support site. Here's the latest USB-C update application with 1.33 Beta FW:

I performed this on my unit and it works great. The 2-pin cable does NOT work for me no matter what I tried. A lot of people are having issues with this method, so don't waste your time.

READ THE INCLUDED INSTRUCTIONS FIRST

Cheers!

When I download this ZIP file, I get "Virus Detected."

Microsoft Defender passes on my end. You might need to disable your virus software to run it.

I can't even download it, so unzipping it or "running it" is out of the question.

I tried downloading it in Chrome, Chrome Incognito, Microsoft Edge, and also Brave.

All of these browsers reported a virus. Specifically, a trojan horse named "Trojan:Script/Wacatac.C!ml"

Where did you get this from? How can Tidradio owners verify that it's official?

Anyone else know a way to get the ZIP file or software without a virus?

Did you download the updater application? The firmware file is just a file. (See the first post of this thread.)

TIDRADIO has released firmware 1.39 today for the H3+ -- it adds a couple of new features and a bunch of small fixes. Info is available on the TIDRADIO Facebook page. If anyone needs the USB-C firmware file then let me know.

Thank you very much for the file, I think Usb-C is better. I have many devices and I hope my little brother TidRadio TD-H3 Bluetooth will also get some firmware in the future. Have a nice weekend

Tested the firmware now and think the sound on the radio has gotten worse and is noisy, worse sound on FM radio. Time radio should also fix scanning as a choice on the side buttons, turn off display as a choice in the display when receiving, draws more power, analog repeater sound squelch tail should be fixed as soon as possible, this works directly on Quansheng UV-K6 and some Baofeng radios.

Do you have a SDR dongle with an inline 10w attenuator? You can calibrate the H3+ using their software. (They put the freq cal in the menu settings recently.) So you don't technically need their software; however, I bumped up the power setting to maximum and it's juiced up the Tx power output a little bit. I don't transmit much with it so I'm not as concerned.

The freq cal is pretty easy and you can use SDR# or another SDR program to sync up the H3+ clock so that it's exactly on frequency. A couple of us have done this with really good results. (Improved audio, etc.)

Don't hold your breath. IMHO, they're likely done touching the original H3 transceiver. No more updates. (The hardware difference between the H3 and H3+ is pretty significant and thus the H3 cannot match up to the H3+ in terms of processing power.)

Thanks for the answer, will test a bit with sdr, I rarely transmit, alternative return to 1.37 while waiting for newer updates. For the other radio little brother I know its limitations and am happy with this one. Both H3 and H3+ biggest problem is the repeater tail sound. Have many other devices, however, not with firmware updates, but which work perfectly.
