TK 5210 Reset

I sincerely hope this is a completely stupid question, but...

I recently ackquired an updated firmware file for my tk-5210 from a local Kenwood dealer. I was going to just have him install it, but he didn't have the software handy, so he just gave me the file and I attempted to install it myself with the fpro utility included with the KPG-95D software I have. I entered the firmware programming mode on the radio by pressing the side 3 key and PTT, turning the radio on, then releasing side 3 first. I connected the radio to the computer and the new firmware seemed to install correctly. When it was finished, a dialogue window popped up that said "check the checksum and reset the radio". My problem is, I can't seem to reset the radio. It won't exit the firmware programming mode. Is there some trick to this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The radio is a TK-5210 K ver 2 VHF

Sounds like a checksum mismatch. Did you compare the checksum in fpro with the one displayed on the radio? Try uploading the firmware to the radio again. Make sure that you have the proper .hex file for your radio. Use a slower speed. If you can not get the checksum to match, you may have a problem with the radio

The radio has no display. Any idea how to verify checksum?
