TK-762HG No Transmit

I have searched high and low, over and under on here and the internet for some info on my 762HG (-1). My transmit suddenly stopped working. I replaced the Mic twice, with two other known working Mics, to be sure, and still no dice. Ive looked at the service manual's, But still not sure where to start. Anyone know whether there might be something common inside the unit to look at, or to point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

Get it to a kenwood dealer. Let them run it through is paces on a bench... Based on what the TK-760HG-1/780H/7180H are selling for these days, it may not be worth fixing. It may just be easier, and cheaper to replace the radio.

If the radio is programed for narrow band swap it back to wide band and see what happens or if it is wide swap it to naroow and see what happens. I have had several of these radios act funny like that.

Any luck figuring out the TX problem on the Kenwood TK-762HG? I have a similar issue. the radio worked fine according to the owner in WIDE band mode, but selecting NARROW-band in the software and re-writing caused a loss of TX. The speaker makes a crackling noise and the power amp seems to be shutting down when you key the mic when connected to a Bird dummy load. Have a new main board, but not going to change it until I figure out the actual problem.....is it a TX issue or a programming issue? The RX on new freq's is excellent...sensitivity better than spec.
Anybody else have input on this issue?
