My TM-281A just starting beeping on one of the memory channels. No break in the squelch, just a loud BEEP BEEP BEEP continuous. Only happening on one memory channel....and all had been working great as of this morning. Fooled around with it for awhile and also did some Google'fu but came up blank. Any ideas.....????

The memory was set for a 146.700 repeater. Also noticed in addition to the constant beeping, it had put itself into narrow band and reverse. All other memory channels continued to work fine, and the channel with the problems had worked fine earlier in the day. I ended up wiping it out and just reloading the code plug. Its working fine now....Hope it was a one time glitch.

The beeping could also be the auto power off warning. If you have it set, the radio starts to beep to warn you it's going to power down. Moving any control will cancel the warning.
