can one put multiple tower sites of the mpscs in one bank on the pro 2096 ?thank you all in advance for your help

Yes. If you separate them with a conventional channel, it will scan all the sites every time through the bank. If you do not, it will only grab one tower and skip the rest.

Has this issue been resolved in the BCD996T, or do you still have to have separate systems, with duplicate talk groups, for each site?

The 996T has separate sites within one system, so you can have one master bank of talkgroups and individual towers programmed within. They can even be set to turn off/on automatically based on GPS.
