Things are always like that though. It's just even more so like that when it's close to an election. It's also no coincidence that some of the coppers that post here have clammed up. :)

did anybody see all the good things that have happened lately "while been was still chief",, the armed robberies back in dec/january, all suspects caught and charged, last night the armed robbery task force caught the two robbers from the recent convenience store robberies, an arrest made public on monday and will be an even bigger story by the end of next week regarding a rape suspect,,. last week a tpd officer saved a person from a burning apartment. the new chief will have some tough shoes to fill. anybody read yet where the mayor said he "MISPOKE" monday?

I agree 100%!!! Like many people, I am on Been's side. IMHO This whole incident goes to show how much Tulsa needs this election! :D

Now if only I lived in Tulsa, maybe I could do some good :(

Mark (mfolta1),

Just a note, editing your posts doesn't really do anything to hide what you said when you first posted it.

As for how to cancel you membership, well you really don't need to, just quit coming here if that is your desire. And, just for the record, there are lots of non-hobby scanner users on this site. Some system administrators have been known to refer their users to this site for an understanding of radio systems. Lots of media types have come here for advice on what to use where they are located and found staying around to be enjoyable as well as instructive.

Now, back to the topic of the thread.

I've posted here for around 2 years and it always seem like you post a lot of anger.
Mark has done nothing to you , so what's your problem?
You even jumped on me one time for posting the wrong part number on a cable from Radio Shack.

I hear Texas also has a site in this forum, so, well, enough said.

Now you have yourself a wonderful day.

Now, back to the topic of the thread

Oh yeah, almost forgot, vote for Randi Miller and check out Randimillerformayor.com

Hmm, I don't remember the incident, but indeed, if you gave bad information, you should expect to be called on it. As for the post you quoted, if you see anger in that, perhaps you should recalibrate your "anger meter". The only angry poster in this thread was Mark (of course he has edited a good deal of that away) but that really isn't your business, it is mine. Did you consider that I may have been responding to a request? No, you are basing your view on the limited knowledge available to you via this thread. BTW, most of my days are wonderful.

RAA, Lou came to this thread because I requested that it be reviewed, there was some question as to it's appropriateness (see my message of 2/22 at 12:07 PM). Lou is one of the senior administrator/moderators for these forums, so it stands to reason that he has to play the heavy on a regular basis. As a group, there are a number of highly opinionated people on this board. From time to time he has to step in and apply whatever level of correction is needed, in his opinion. You could call him the neighborhood forum cop, and as we all know, most people's interactions with a cop are not when they are at their best. BTW, this also means that he will appear on any forum where he needs to, not just the Texas Forum.

Anyway, I hope that Mr. Folta (BTW, I apologize for calling you "Mike", I of all people should be able to remember your name!) remains as a member. Mark has contributed much good information, and has also requested and received information, so his presence has been a win-win situation for everybody.

I'm not much interested in the politcal race in Tulsa, but when it starts to affect one of the largest police departments in the state, I want to hear/read the details.

You did not state that you were "responding to a request".

Never even thought of that one, I guess because I never asked anybody to "review a thread".
Just read:
After reading through this thread I would say

Then it would appear you didn't read the entire thread, as half the thread was a discussion of whether or not it (this topic) was appropriate for this forum. Lou's status as a moderator is well known to most members of RR, he's listed as moderator at the bottom of the Administration And Help Forum.

Youe edit left the last sentence hanging.
