Just heard two shootings tonight and they both were toned out using the same tone that Sand Springs FD uses. When did TPD start toning out for shootings? So that makes 3 alert tones if they keep it. The long beeeeeeep is for a panic button and the classsic TFD/EMSA tone beep beep beep and not this SSFD tone of deee dooo deee doo. Hmmm interesting.

Good god man, now I'm getting flamed from locals now. I was just pointing out something new that had changed and has never been heard. If you lived here and listened to the radio traffic as long as some of us have you might want to talk about. BTW everyone has been *****ing about how quiet it has been on here lately and I post something and right away I get jerk off reponse. Boy I can tell where this forum has gone!
Thanks for the reply!

yes, and i am not joking, being serious, the "queen" came up with the idea after the shooting of 11 people in the park a few weeks back, all shooting calls will be toned out. rediculous! i was told its only a trial basis, also keep in mind that in that shooting only a couple of gangsters fired from a car, the other gazillion shots were return fire from the gangsters in the park.

Obviously someone cares, that is why it was posted...suppose you consider the usefulness of your posts in the future.

The rest of you carry on.

I think the new tone is bit much. Too overstated. Lacking confidence and sophistication. It will have me turning my scanner down instead of listening in.

OH Ya, I hear the Tulsa system very well here on Lake Keystone. I'm using a Direct TV beam antenna with either a BC 780 XLT or PRO 2053. I hear just about anything within a 50 mile radius, some much further.
